This Artist Reimagined Disney Princesses As Badass Movie Characters


Astor Alexander is a San Diego-based freelance illustrator who, in his newest undertaking, determined to recreate traditional Disney princesses in a singular and badass method. The undertaking known as “Noir Princesses” and options Disney princesses as characters of 9 totally different noir films/books.

The princesses are not the frail damsels in misery you keep in mind – this time they’re badass and as removed from frail as you may think about. The creator was impressed by the ‘movie noir’ type of films, well-liked from the early 1940’s to the late 1950’s, that usually featured gangsters, corruption and plenty of cigarettes.
