These Love Playing cards Impressed By The Smiths Are So Tacky, It’s Good


‘You’re human, and you must be beloved,’ that’s what the icon of being hip and the lead vocal of The Smiths, Steven Patrick Morrissey, tells you straight off the duvet of ‘Morrisey’s Playing cards of Love.’

Created by Alon Avissar, a Washington-based artwork director and illustrator, these greeting playing cards are tailor-made to ‘The Smiths‘ music loving viewers: “I’ve at all times been an enormous fan of The Smiths. Along with the brilliance of the music itself, I at all times acquired a kick out of Morrissey’s lyrics as that they had the flexibility of being each self-deprecating and completely pompous on the similar time,” says Alon.

To drive this level dwelling he “began with putting photographs of Moz’s face on tremendous tacky romantic inventory images,” and as soon as the combo was proper, he drew the pictures on his iPad and slapped the ironic lyrics onto tacky Valentine’s Day-style greeting playing cards.

The tip outcome is an ideal shock for The Smiths fan and a useful assortment of corny relationship moments for the remainder.
