Backbone-Chilling Lion Sculpture Made Of 4,000 Items Of Scrap Steel

style=”text-align: justify;”>Istanbul-based artist Selçuk Yılmaz presents his current masterpiece – a suspenseful and extremely detailed metallic sculpture Aslan (lion in Turkish). The sculptor took 10 months to finish the work, which is bigger than himself and weighs about 550 kilos (250kg).

style=”text-align: justify;”>The work is mixed from nearly 4,000 items of scrap metallic that Yilmaz hand-cut and hammered all by himself. Because the artist commented the work on DeviantArt, what making a metallic sculpture requires probably the most is nice persistence and tolerance to the occasional ache.
